As Thornton Scott went in 2019-20, so did the Tribe. That was great news during the first segments of both the nonconference and conference slates, but not so much down the stretch as injury and inconsistency caught up with him.

Bryce Barnes may not have been a star, but he was a near-perfect pickup on the grad transfer market for Dane Fischer. Barnes’ grad senior year was about as good as anyone could expect it to be.
Though inconsistent at times, Van Vliet contributed significantly in his single year in Williamsburg, making up one half of the best frontcourt in the conference.
The CAA Player of the Year (and Defensive Player of the Year!) put together one of the greatest seasons in William and Mary history this past year, cementing him in the pantheon of Tribe hoops.
